It’s not adding extra cheese to say that Antonio Caldarone, a labor and employment
partner with Laner Muchin, Ltd., grew up in the restaurant business.

His father, grandfather and uncles founded Palermo’s Pizza near Midway Airport in the
late 1960s, and Caldarone, 38, did everything from bussing tables to taking orders over
the phone during his teenage years. He later helped to open a location in suburban Chicago in the early 2000s.

While working at the restaurant by day and attending law school by night, Caldarone handled his first labor and employment matter, which proved to be a turning point in his career and life.
