Laner Muchin Welcomes Associates Lauren Cook, Samantha Damewood, Emily Dybas and Patrick Morris to the Firm

Laner Muchin proudly announces the additions of Lauren Cook, Samantha Damewood, Emily Dybas and Patrick Morris to the Firm, strengthening its growing team of skilled labor and employment attorneys.

Lauren concentrates her practice in business immigration, representing employers of all sizes and industries who seek to sponsor foreign nationals and their families under a broad range of immigrant and nonimmigrant visa categories.

She has experience handling immigration matters before U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS), the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of State.

Sam focuses her practice in private and public sector employment litigation. She has experience working with employers on a broad range of issues, including defending employers with respect to claims brought under Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, the FMLA and the FLSA.

She is also well-versed in representing employers in matters before the EEOC and state and local agencies from their inception.

Emily concentrates her practice in private and public sector employment litigation and has experience pursuing commercial claims in federal and state court.

While in law school, she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Employment Discrimination. During her last year in law school, Emily worked as a law clerk for Laner Muchin.

Patrick focuses his practice on public and private sector litigation in state and federal courts, as well as before administrative agencies. He has diverse litigation experience on a wide range of legal issues, including defending employers with respect to claims brought under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, Section 1981 and 1982, the Illinois Whistleblower Act and the Illinois Ethics Act.

He also has substantial appellate experience before the First Appellate District of Illinois and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Laner Muchin Ltd. concentrates in the representation of employers in labor relations, employment litigation, employee benefits and business immigration matters. The Firm provides legal services to clients from coast to coast.
